Little Leah was recently brought to Neve Michael Children’s Emergency Center. She is slight and brittle and the look in those sad dark eyes tells an awful tale. There is a desolate place in her soul emanating through those cheerless eyes, as if someone took the light out of her life.

Odell

Odell is a twelve-year-old girl with a rare health condition requiring costly medication, diet and exercise under close medical supervision. Before she arrived at Neve Michael with her four sisters…

Batsheva

Batsheva, a frail and frightened seven year old girl with wavy brown hair, arrived at the Neve Michael Crisis Center ten months ago with sadness in her eyes and in her young heart.

Menachem

Menachem never got to know his mom, who passed away when he was only ten months old. A few months ago tragedy struck his family once more when his father succumbed to cancer.

Shlomit

Seven years have passed since that gray day when Shlomit, her big sister and two big brothers arrived in the Neve Michael Emergency Crisis Center. Shlomit’s end of the story was the most touching as she was the baby of the family…

Tal and Ishai

Tal (10) and Ishai (8) are brothers from northern Israel who recently were brought to the Neve Michael Emergency Crisis Center. We knew from the Welfare Authorities that they had been abused by their father. What we didn’t know was the extent of the abuse.

Gabi

Gabi’s parents’ stormy divorce and erratic behavior had left him with no one to care for him, so he was brought to the Neve Michael Children’s Home.

He was ten years old at the time.
