In honor of their Bat Mitzvah, Leora & Hadassa are raising funds to help the children at risk in Neve Michael Children’s Village.
Dear Family and Friends,
Neve Michael’s Children Village is a home in Israel offering love, care and professional services to children, helping them overcome traumatic domestic experiences and giving them a chance at a brighter future.
We realize how fortunate we are to lead the extraordinary lives that our parents provide for us and, as if that wasn’t enough, to have all of you, our friends and family, share in our Bat Mitzvah celebration. In lieu of gifts, we have chosen to use this moment to raise awareness and financial assistance for Neve Michael’s Bar and Bat mitzvah program.
Each year over thirty children turn Bar or Bat Mitzvah in Neve Michael. Many of these children would not have the opportunity to celebrate this milestone without the generous support of others.
The Bar and Bat Mitzvah Celebration program that we are supporting includes:
• A personal set of tefilin (boys) or candlesticks (girls)
• Weekly lectures and workshops focused on the topic of what it means to become a Bar or Bat Mitzvah
• Monthly trips throughout Israel, as part of the Neve Michael program
• New clothes
• An end of the year Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebration at Neve Michael
This program costs $54,000 annually. Our goal is to raise one year of programming. It is incredibly personal and meaningful to us to have your support for a cause that feels so relevant and close to our hearts.
The Bat Mitzvah girls from Neve Michael will be celebrating with us on Thursday night of our Bat Mitzvah weekend in Israel. We can’t wait to greet them, along with all of you!
